Having traditions is always fun. We have a few meaningless, but fun, traditions.

This year for Thanksgiving we tried something new that had sustance behind it. You light candle for each member of your family. Each person says what they are thankful for and then they blow out their candle.

Amazing how grateful we all are but we really don’t talk about it. To pick out one thing is next to impossible when you only get to do this one time each year. Everything, family, and freedom seemed to be the winners.

Since gratitude is such an important thing in everyday life, we will not leave this rite for just one time each year. It will be a weekly occurance and each person has the opportunity to describe an incident or item of significance for which they are grateful. I am excited to get this started!
