Does your family have a fire escape plan?

If a fire breaks out in your home, you only have minutes to get out.  It is critical that everyone feels comfortable with a plan and that you practice your escapes.

I have been doing some research and I want to share some web resources I found that have been helpful.  They are www.sparky.org and www.nfpa.org and they have a lot of useful information.  Here are two forms I downloaded from these sites that I like because they are simple enough to share with children:  home_escape_planning_sheet  and escapeplanningtips

My children sleep upstairs and we do not have escape ladders.  I did some research and have found a hardware store to have the best prices. Here is the link:  fire escape ladder   This link will take you to the main page so just type fire escape ladder in the search.

Any additional tools you use and would like to share with others, please post a comment.
